Vegan Shower Show

This toothpaste is pretty cool. I think I like my nature's Gate Mint better though. This one tastes like licorice. At first, I didn't mind, but now it's getting to me.

I like it. It says to use before brushing. I like that it's organic and raw. Whatever that means.

I've been using this for awhile by desert Essence. I can buy a huge bottle and save money. It makes my face feel clean.

This smells like bubble gum. I never pay attention to what shampoos claim to do (this one says volumizing) because a shampoo isn't going to magically fix your hair. A clean diet will. Well, at least for me.

My birthday is Wed. I will post pics of my food and cake soon.

Stuff I Ate and Arbonne!

Some pumpkin bread that is almost gluten-free. It says it contains traces. From Sami's Bakery. Addictive. Not too sweet. Reminds me of the hawaiian bread I don't eat because it has milk in it. I have to veganize that spinach dip my gma makes now.

I hadn't had this kind yet. And man I think it's my favorite.

The roast beef style slices are really good with these Daiya swiss style slices. Ha. What bland names, but at least I know exactly what it is.

This is my favorite sausage from Field Roast: Apple Sage. Mmmm.

From Arbonne I got the corrective eye creme, which I have been using only a couple days now. A little goes a long way.

I also got this collagen supplement. I'm a sucker for pills that claim to make you look younger. And especially since I know that Arbonne is all vegan. I will write about the results when I finish the bottle.

Pot Brownies and Chapstick

Oh, man this is my favorite lip balm and I found it at American Apparel in Clifton! Yay! I usually can't find it anywhere.

There's a candy store I hardly ever go into because I don't really eat food coloring anymore and I used to love swedish fish.  Then I saw a sign advertising raw vegan canabis brownies. I walked right in and bought some. $10.14 for two small ones!

They did not taste very good. They were kind of wet and gooey in a bad way. I do think they chilled me out a little. Or maybe I just think they did.

Marshmallows and Ice cream

I cannot believe I didn't try these sooner. For some reason pints look more appealing. I am totally wrong. These are much better because I don't eat the whole pack.

Creamiest vegan ice cream I have had in a long time. Cafe latte. My favorite.

I got the Dandies minis! Yay! Mostly for hot cocoa, but I left it at Bakersfield's house.

So I put them in a little bowl and ate them plain. I love marshmallows. They taste just like gelatin ones to me.

Gluten-free tacos!

So I had some Beyond Meat feisty crumbles.

Some local salsa.

Super local corn tortillas. Made perfectly btw.

I added some jalapeno daiya block cheese and local corn. Hit the spot.

And a side salad.

Babushka and Candy Bacon

These Pierogies are amazing. They are locally made by two amazing women. One of whom I know lives OTR (or damn near). They make ones with real cheese and meat I think. At Park+Vine we get these vegan potato cheddar and saurkraut ones. Super yum. I think of it as a quick snack or nice side when I am eating salad or steamed veggies. (I feel like I need to say when companies have meat ones, too. The other day someone had our vegan goetta and then ate meat goetta somewhere else because they didn't know. Sad face.)

I tried another Phoney Baloney Coconut Bacon! This one is candied and I put it on some vanilla soy ice cream.

It was very good and just the right balance of sweet and salty and bacon. I had seconds.

Pawpaw?

I had never heard of paw paws before or remember hearing of them. Maybe. Actually.

Anyway, I got three.

I was told they taste like banana, which was kind of true, like banana baby food. I didn't get much stuff out of them to eat because the seeds are so big. Oh, well. Nice to try a new fruit though.

Skinlove

I got the other thing I ordered from vegancuts. Yay!

I really needed a face moisturizer with spf. I chose this one because it was made with really clean ingredients and handmade.

It smells so good. The first few ingredients are aloe juice, water, olive oil(!), sunflower oil, coconut oil, lavender water, and other stuff and cocoa butter. I think it really smells like cocoa butter. I love the smell. It's like going to the beach. Super non-greasy. Can't wait to try Arbonne.

Oh, wow. I've been working so much. I need to rest and recuperate.

Need More Zzzz's

Does "Zzzz's" need an apostrophe?

New things I want to try: Neat, No-no's, Arbonne.

I'm interested in things that are gf and vegan right now. Even though I don't eat gf. There's lots of people that come in where I work and ask for gf. I just tried Eat Pastry's gf choc chip cookie dough. Tastes like the garbanzo flour in it. I keep eating it raw and rooting around for the chocolate chips.

Local pasta sauce! And it tastes so flavorful. Mmm. It is also great for pizza just like it says.

Not gf, but these are my favorite crackers and I get them all the time for snacking.

Bilf Likes to Bite Tomato

So there are a lot of bad pictures here.

This is my favorite coconut oil. It smells the freshest and most raw. It's by Wilderness Family Naturals. I don't think my skin is super fantastic, but it's pretty soft and smooth.

This is one of the bakeries that has stepped in since Sweet Peace Bakery has gone. These Peaceful Crunch bars taste like butterfingers. Very tasty.

A Vegnews from August. Are lots of vegans buying these up in Cincinnati?! Because they should. It's a great magazine. They added a vegan family section.

One of my favorite pops.

I finally got my Meow Meow Tweet face oil in! From VeganCuts. I really like it, but I think it's making my hair all oily when I'm sleeping and I look extra grungy when I wake up. I'm going to try Arbonne soon.

Pineapple, banana smoothie.

Tofurky Pockets!

So they weren't crazy delicious, but I liked them. They were a little too bread-y.  They have especially been convenient when I don't feel like making dinner. I can't wait to try broccoli and cheese and... the pepperoni pizza pockets. What??!! I NEED those. Pizza is definitely one of my favorite meals.

Stickers, BG Pyramid, and Fem Schtuff

Aww. Look at all my new stickers and magnets. My faves right now are the "Praise Seitan" and "I Love Animals Too Much To Eat Them". They are both controversial. Oh, dear me.

So I've finally switched over! No more Krogering for disposables for me. I feel really good about this decision. These are reusable pads for those of you unfamiliar. They are handmade. I forgot if they are local. I will check.

And finally this. I love Freelea the Banana Girl! Love, Love, Love. Compassionate, tell-it-like-it-is-vegan. She has made a RT4 pyramid and I think it's great. I do not adhere to this lifestyle, but I do strive to drink lots of water and I do eat lots of fruit. Because of her, too. And I feel loads better. I still eat lots of fats and processed foods, but I'm trying to cut it down. It's making me feel not as healthy as I want to be. So I posted this for inspiration. I am always vegan, btw. I'm a pretty hardcore bitch vegan, actually. And a kind human being.

Some Shopping-Coconut Bacon!

Phoney Baloney has different flavors of their coconut bacon now.

I tried Chipotle BBQ. I like it a lot. I was eating it straight out of the bag. I wouldn't recommend eating the whole bag though. Kinda made me sicky.

I got this load from Findlay Market. Everything is local except the pineapples.

Dinner and Vegan Contact Solution

I ate some simple (messy) sushi rolls last night. Just rice and cucumbers.

I used some local (vegan!) kimchi and Bragg's Liquid Aminos.

Contact solution that wasn't tested on animals, mainly dogs btw.

Dessert! Oh, man. I had been complaining about Liz Lovely going all gluten-free on me. The texture can be crumbly and have a slightly weird aftertaste. These triple chocolate mint cookies were still crumbly, but still fudgy and I think the mint took away the aftertaste. I ate a whole cookie in one sitting. Which is 400 calories. Two cookies come in pack. Pretty large. Great deal. Definitely will get again.
